Eighteen of us, students and Nora’s family, arrived at the hotel in Buenos Aires at 10AM, 20 hours in transit. I did not sleep a wink.

We received our orientation right there in the hotel lobby. A half hour of rest and a city-tour excursion bus picked us up at 11:30 AM for a full-day tour.  Our first Milonga was scheduled for that night.

The city known as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires is one of the most beautiful cities I have visited. Avenida 9 de Julio (Avenue July 9), the widest avenue in the world, is a breathtaking with varieties of trees and statues.
The tour was a sampler for us to see the entire capital. We all made sure to take note of places we wanted to visit again, especially for shopping!
