Coffee grinder for saffron: In almost every Iranian household is a small coffee grinder dedicated to grinding saffron and nothing else. Saffron stigmas are ground by themselves or with a pinch of sugar for quantity. It is done in volume and stored in small spice bottle, ready for cooking use. Store saffron stigmas or the ground saffron in the freezer. (of course, pestle-and-mortar may be used too.)
