Born in Udaipur, India, which is a beautiful place, also known as “City of Lakes”, Udaipur is illustrious for its beauty, culture, history, and above all, for its traditional food. Prateeksha is a proud mother of a 3 year old girl and lives with her husband, who is her biggest critic.

“It is a general misconception that healthy food is not tasty.” Prateeksha noticed that while trying to make food tastier, we often compromise the nutritional value, making it less healthy. She always cooks with the intention of making delicious food which is no less nutritious. Her aim in writing this blog is to spread the knowledge she has gained from her experience cooking nutritious and yummy food. She loves to cook every cuisine in its original form and insert her twist to make it healthy and luscious. 1.   The Italian explorer of the South American coast was Amerigo Vespucci. ‘America’ was named in his honor!

2.   Potatoes originated in Peru. There are over 3500 varieties!

3.   According to NASA, the only planet in our solar system which could float on water is Saturn!

4.   Over 50% of the worlds’s trade in flowers and plants occurs in Holland!

5.   Only 1% of twins are mono-zygotic  (identical)!

6.   The world’s largest employers are Chinese Army (2.3M) and Indian Railway (2M)

7.   Some of the earliest known uses of forks with food occurred in Ancient Egypt, where large forks were used as cooking utensils. Bone forks had been found in the burial site of the Bronze Age Qijia culture (2400–1900 BC) as well as later Chinese dynasties’ tombs. The personal table fork was most likely invented in the Byzantine Empire where they were in common use by the 4th century… its origin may even go back to Ancient Greece, before the Roman period. –The Byzantine Empire was the predominantly Greek-speaking continuation of the Roman Empire during Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Its capital city was Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul), originally known as Byzantium.–

Dear Followers and Supporters,

I will be gone on a fantastic, autumn foliage trip.
