Both Virginia and her husband are from England but their parents moved them stateside when they were little. Their goal is to retire back across the pond. In the meantime, they enjoy being in the kitchen, creating yummy foods, being out in the garden growing their ingredients, and she enjoys things like knitting. They are thrilled their kids like to be involved as well. It is so important to them to move away from overly processed foods and way of life.

7 random things about me:
1. To my regret, I am a perfectionist. With ageing, I have mellowed, but still make myself crazy at times.
2. Between the ages of 15~20 I got into sewing. I got so good at it that my friends would bring fabrics to sew for them. 
3. Learned from my mother, who was a master at it, until I was in my early 30s (now I am a little older 
) I used to knit sweaters for me and for people I loved as gifts. Never knitted anything but sweaters.
4. I started learning to cook at the age of 9. It started from watching my mother and next thing I was put in charge.
5. If memory serves me right, the first dish I learned to make was spaghetti with meat-sauce Iranian style. Which means, the pasta is boiled until hard al dente, layered alternatively with the meat sauce and steamed for 45~60 minutes. It doesn’t matter what kind of pasta we use, we call the dish macaroni (pronounce mā.kā.ro.ni).
6. I did’t start baking cakes from scratch until I was over 40 years old (just a few years ago. ).
7. I took a couple of cake decorating classes. It was best if I hadn’t mentioned it…
but I couldn’t think of anything else for the 7th random thing about me.
