Reading other blogs inspires me to try out new and exciting ideas! When I read about a Zebra Cake it made me think of our many game parks here in South Africa! Zebras are several species of African equids united by their distinctive black and white stripes. Their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual. To recreate that in the form of a cake is quite a challenge for me. Well I decided to take the challenge and try to make the Zebra Cake as Fae described it in her blog.

That pasta dish does look delish! I’ve made one of your recipes Fae but I had forgotten about this page of yours, perhaps because you were on your Alaska cruise. Do I post it on my blog first?

Great idea! So many times I wonder if blog readers are simply admiring recipes from afar, but never actually taste what they see. Bravo for making these dishes!
- I visit so many blogs each day, and forget where I saw what. As much as I love to make every one of the recipes, there are only so many calories/volume one can eat.
Sometimes, we just want to drool over what other Foodies make. 
But if I see something I know will be an economical dinner or the ingredients are easily found, I ‘bookmark’. Indeed, I have made many of my fellow blogger’s recipes, but this was the first time my light-bulb went on to take a photo to include in this feature. In other words, I walked the talk myself! 
))) (I made Jo’s pasta and Erika made cupcakes form my recipe.)
